Meh!
"Meh!" exclaims Count Thickness as he looks to the sky. Oh my! Count Thickness you're a reindeer who is too thick to fly. "Oh my!" said Count Thickness with a heavy sigh. "Why is it that I can't fly? Meh?"

Stockings
Hanging the stockings side by side. When all of a sudden you hear outside a great big "THUMP!!" It's Old Saint Nicholas, you decide. You run back to bed and under the covers you hide, only to hear the jolly old man...chuckle. You heave a great sigh. Relieved you feel, for you've been a good boy. Up on the rooftop you hear a few other noises, a snort, of some kind and some hooves. Again you hear, a great big "THUMP!!". There goes Old Saint Nicholas onto the next set of stockings, hanging side by side.

Winter and Spring
In the Winter, everything seems so naked. But nothing is gone, it's just hiding until that beautiful Spring morning decides that it's time to wake up. Slowly but surely, Spring wakes up and stretches her arms. She yawns and takes in the air. She wakes up the birds and the flowers, and she shakes the trees. "I am here!", she announces. The Sun starts to shine and the snow melts away. The ground starts to breathe again and the foxes resume their play. So now you see that nothing is naked and nothing is gone. Nothing is dead and nothing is wrong. It's just that Winter takes over while Spring is asleep. Now you know. Isn't that neat?

Waiting
Waiting for my friend to return,
an awful long time it does seem.
I don't have to wait much longer,
though the minutes, hours, and days seem way too slow.
If I could sleep during the days that she is gone,
never would I have known that she had ever left.
Goodnight to the world, I now do say, for tomorrow, will be one less day.

The Touch
When you can't sleep and when you can't dream,
just open your eyes and let me touch your heart.
I'll give it warmth and I'll give it hope,
just open your eyes and let me touch your heart.
Don't worry my dear, you have nothing to fear.
Just give me your hand, and your love, and your trust.
When you can't sleep and when you can't dream,
just open your eyes and let me touch your heart.
